A couple of years ago I installed a pellet stove in the house that I had recently purchased. I needed a fan to help circulate the warm air being produced, that's when I went to the store and purchased the need Vornado 530 B Table Fan.
I purchased the fan for $49.99, which at the time I thought was a little bit high priced for a fan. This Vornado Fan really isn't all that big and is black in color. It stands approximately 13" h x 10" w x 9"d, and has a cord on it that is approximately 8 feet long. I have found that the nice long cord length comes in quite handy.
The switch that turns the fan on and off has three speed settings that allow you to set the fan on low, medium, and high. The fan also pivots up and down allowing you to direct the blowing air straight forward, or up to any other angle pointing straight up.
The box that the Vornado 530 B Fan comes in, states that the fan will blow air up to 65 feet in what is described as a column of air. I have to say that I was a little bit doubtful about being able to feel the air from the fan 65 feet away.
So far I've owned this fan for more than 2 1/2 years, and I must say that I really like how it performs. All I can say is that this thing really moves some air for a smaller sized fan, and may quite possibly be the best fan I have ever owned.
I no longer doubt the claim of being able to feel the air at 65 feet away. I have placed this fan at one end of my house blowing down the hallway and can easily feel the breeze from over 45 feet away. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be able to feel it from even a further distance away. This of course was on the highest speed setting.
The Vornado 530 B Table Fan is actually pretty quiet as well. On the low setting you can barely hear it running. On the high setting it does of course make some noise, but it is nothing that I find to be overly loud or distracting.
I am now into my third year of owning this fan and I also find it to be quite durable. The past two winters I have operated this fan for six months straight, rarely turning it off at all. I also use it in the summer months as well, and it is still working just as good as it did the day I took it out of the box. I have confidence that it will last me for years to come.
This fan does get a little bit of dusty after using it for awhile. The outside plastic casing easily can be wiped off, while it is a bit trickier to get in between the grate that protects your fingers from touching the fan blades. A feather duster of some sort would probably work well for this, but it really doesn't bother me a whole lot, so I just leave it alone.
Overall I have found that the Vornado 530 B Table Fan does an incredibly great job, as it seems to work much better than many fans that are even larger in size. I feel that it is a product that was well worth the money that I paid for it.
