Intro

I saw these for about five bucks and were advertised as bicycling socks with a wacky looking face around the top of the socks. I was impressed to an extent that so much detail was put into these socks that I decided to give them spin the first chance I had to go bike riding.

Why I Bought

The main reason why I bought these was an impulse buy of some wacky socks that would be fine addition of useful socks for when I want my feet to breathe as though I had nothing on my feet but the air and the ground itself.

The Trial

I rode around with my Skechers Energy Mens Running Shoes and the socks kept my feet rather dry for a good while, then after a while I could feel some moisture building up under my toes. A week later rode around in them with my ClimaCool Cyclone Running Shoes and it was absolutely amazing because I never felt any moisture build up and not even a hint of wetness anywhere.

Other Care Directions

A fine point that is not well known is that you should not just forcefully pull on your socks because it causes permanent stretching which eventually will tear a hole in the socks or make them to where they are too loose to wear. Gently roll or bunch the socks pass on over toes to the heel then gently bring them up towards your calf. The point of this to simply prevent stretching and allow for them to be in service for years to come. I have done this practice with (my diabetic socks that I use for controlling swelling [a recent issue]) and steel toe shoe socks since 1997 (nine years and believe it or not some of the socks I still have from that time frame) and really does extend the life of the socks in general but especially in the heel region.

At some point during the time which you have these socks if you notice a loose end clip it as close as you can carefully to the sock with scissors to prevent premature unraveling or bunching or pulling or breaking. Do not just pull a loose strand by hand.

Tidbits

The socks are pretty comfortable but do not have any cushion since they are meant to serve as breather for your feet wicking away moisture and keeping your feet dry.

Times to be used

These socks are perfect for working or day around the house. I like to wear them while wearing ClimaCools when bike riding or jogging to keep my feet dry and cool.
