I just recently purchased this Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie press at our A.C. Moore Store. It cost $19.99, but I had a coupon from their store flyer which was good for 40% off of any regular priced item. So it actually cost me only $11.99. Two days after I purchased it I decided to give it a try. After assembling it I made two batches of Spritz cookies that came in the instruction booklet with the Cookie press. It worked very nicely, was very easy to use, and the cookies came out great. Of course the cookies didn't last very long in my house.
The Wilton Cookie press comes with:
A nice comfortable grip handle lever which helps you to press comfortably even when making large batches of cookies.
10 Aluminum popular cookie disks.
Stainless steel barrel, which reduces sticking of the dough and makes the barrel slide out easily for cleaning.
Side grips on the cookie press will prevent your hands from slipping.
Unique flip over handle for easy storage in your drawer.
Disk Storage case which attaches to the cookie press when not in use for easy storage.
This Cookie press is made of a heavy duty construction of cast aluminum and stainless steel.
Comes with a easy construction booklet with 3 cookie recipes.
Instructions:
1)--The instructions were very easy to follow to assemble the unit. I first made sure that the comfort grip lever was in the operating position.
2)--I then turned the plunger rod and pulled it upwards.
3)--I turned the bottom ring clockwise and removed it.
4)--I then placed the cookie dough, that was at room temperature into the barrel.
5)--I placed the cookie disk in the center groove of the bottom of the ring.
6)--I replaced the bottom ring and turned it counter clockwise to lock securely onto the barrel.
7)--I turned the plunger rod, so that the plate engages the teeth of the rod.
8)--Using an ungreased baking sheet I placed the cookie press on the sheet and raised the lever one click, then pressed down one click for each cookie. I then lifted the cookie press and repeated it until the dough was all used up.
Cleaning:
When I finished my cookies, I just washed the whole unit in soapy water and dried it thoroughly. Although this cookie press can be washed in a dishwasher and placed on the top rack of your dishwasher. I also found that the stainless steel barrel came out very easy for cleaning.
Storing:
One thing that I did like about the Wilton Cookie press was that it did come with a disk storage case. After washing the cookie press you simply place the disk storage case on the end of the barrel. Place all the cookie disks in the case and secure with the bottom ring. I think this is really neat, no more missing cookie disks now. Everything is now in one compact unit.
This Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie Press doesn't take up much room for storage, because of the space-saving design. By just folding over the handle, it will make it very easy to store away neatly into your cabinet drawer.
I really wished that I had purchased this Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie Press last year, as the one that I did have didn't work well at all. So right after Thanksgiving I will start making my Christmas cookies. And with my new Wilton Cookie Press, it will be a joy to make them. I always look forward to the smell of fresh baked cookies in my home. It brings back the memories and smells of my childhood which always warms my heart.
I really recommend this Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie Press. If you happen to need a new cookie press give this one a try. You won't be disappointed, as it works really easy and quickly. What more can you ask for.
