Ok, simple product, so this will be a short and sweet review. Simply put, the Dazzle Multimedia Reader works easily and reliably with my HP Pavillion, Windows XP machine. I just plugged it into the USB port and (blinding flash) a window appeared on my screen asking me what I wanted to do with my new drive. No driver installation necessary. Now that's what I like to see! I get excited about technology, but I don't like spending hours installing software. One thing to pay attention to. The instructions tell you to power down the device before you remove it from the USB port. I recommend you do so, else you could blow a port.
I use a 64 MB Secure Digital flash card from SanDisk and the Dazzle read it perfectly. Reading and writing to the card was as easy as copying/pasting from one folder to another.
The device is well built of a hard plastic with little rubber "feet" on the bottom to keep it from slipping off the table. I wish there was an LED to let me know when the card was being written to, just a minor nit pick.
This reader will read SD and MMC flash formats.
My only complaint is this: the reader comes with a DVD. Why not a CD? I do not have a DVD drive, so I can't get to the contents. Oh, well, others have indicated that it's nothing to write home about anyway.
I recommend using this over the conventional cable that connects to your camera or the little camera docking station because you can use it for all your data transfer needs, not just to load pictures.
