| jnoschese's Full Review: Mag Innovision InnoVision DX 700T CRT Monitor |
I bought this monitor approximately 3 years ago when it was about $700, I remember being all excited about having a 17" monitor from upgrading from a 14" SONY that cost about $1000 at the time...
I bought this monitor from hearing nothing but good things about MAG. Needing a new monitor, I quickly jumped to there website. The website alone will tell you which monitor best suits you. With all the specs in place on the website, there was no need to go to a store, or even call the company.
I bought this monitor because I do a lot of high resolution graphics and also like to play games and I also liked some of the features that it had including Degaussing and the digital On-Screen Display (OSD).
This monitor is crystal clear, and still is to this day. Never a problem. A Highly recommend buying a MAG monitor, even if it isn't this one.
I've run Windows '95, Windows '98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and also various Linux distributions. All picture perfect. Linux seems to have the clearest picture however.
** UPDATE SEPT 2003 **
This monitor died around Jan 2002..lasted a good while..it pretty much fizzed out, and gave signs of going a few weeks ahead of time with some weird lines going across the screen. Instead of getting it fixed, I bought a new one, a Viewsonic actually, just because of the price. $170 and they are comparable. I still feel the MAG had a better looking screen, but not a HUGE difference..the MAG was way ahead of its time...
