Pros: Excellent Quality, Great Picture, Easy to use, long VGA Cable
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: Excellent price, runs cool, better picture then NEC, Sony, KDS and Viewsonic. I wouldn't trade it for a bigger monitor from another namebrand.

| wvabackpacker's Full Review: Mag Innovision InnoVision XJ 700 CRT Monitor |
I worked for MicroCenter as a technician and I've seen my share of monitors come through. Viewsonic, Sony, KDS, Apple, etc. I've seen them all. I don't like flat screen monitors, I think they make the picture look smaller, so this is why I bought a standard-screen monitor. After looking at all my options, I chose to buy the Mag XJ700. I've owned several other name brands and none of them compare.
I've been using this monitor for almost 3 years everyday and not once has it failed me. I have moved 4 times, and taken the monitor to dozens of LAN partys. Not once has it been damaged.
The picture quality is exceptional. Crisp, Clear, true-looking (looks real). My KVM limits me to 85hz so that's what I run the monitor at. I use it with a GeForce 2 GTS at 16.7 million colors 1027x768 screen size.
I have used the monitor with the following operating systems: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 98, Windows 95, Redhat Linux 6.0, Redhat Linux 7.0+, Mandrake Linux 7.2, Mandrake Linux 8.0+, Macintosh OS9 and OSX.
I paid $250 for it new 3 years ago. Prices on monitors have came down considerable. AT the time, the price was reasonable for the quality.
Heat: The monitor seems to produce less heat then the NEC and Sony monitors I owned. This is important when you live on the second floor of an old apartment building when the A/C doesn't work great...
I have no experience with Mag's customer service since I have had zero problems. The cable, chasis, and screen are very tough.
Control: Two buttons. One for power, one for settings. You simply roll the round button left or right to select what you want to adjust and press in on the round button, then rotate again to adjust. Very easy to use.
You can't beat the picture and qualtiy you will get with this monitor. I highly recommend it. If you happen to come across a used one for a cheap price, buy it and you won't be upset.
