| akamystic's Full Review: Sony ES Series Model 200 17 inch CRT Monitor |
Side by side, the Sony CPD-200ES blew the doors off a competitor’s equivalent model. I'm talking rich, deep color depth here. Vivid colors. No question in my mind as to which model to purchase. I was blown away by the difference when comparing monitors. I tested them both from 800x600 @ 65,000 colors and higher. The Sony won each time. I also noticed the Sony monitor did not produce as much heat as "the other guys" models. This is crucial when using in an enclosed cabinet. I've used some monitors (17 inch and larger) that ran so hot the room got warmer after a couple of hours (so true). Now, if we can only find a printer that will match the clarity of the monitor.
