klynne2's Full Review: Microsoft Intelli Optical (D58-00026) Mouse
Oh I love my intellimouse optical! No more sticky track balls and jumpy cursors, this is one smooth baby! I’ve been using a computer since the old Texas Instruments keyboard I hooked up to my TV, way back in the early 80’s. I was excited when I bought my first Tandy and had a newfangled mouse! I hadn’t been that excited about a computer product since, until I bought my Microsoft intellimouse optical! I love it, it’s so smooth, feels so good in my hand, glides across my mouse pad, and never eats a single crumb! It just moves them out of the way. I have probably cleaned a thousand trackballs in my day, and messed with Q-tips and alcohol to clean the little rollers inside, etc. NO MORE! Except for wiping it occasionally with an anti-static wipe, it’s maintenance free! I had no trouble with the software, not one glitch, but I always install any new software with a clean boot, so I suspect that might be the culprit for those who have experienced trouble. ( It’s always a good idea to hit Cntrl-Alt-Del keys and “end task” on all running programs except “scanreg” and “systray” before you install any software at all. )
My hubby bought himself one after using mine, and so did my brother, my mother, my daughter, my sister....you get the picture. Use it once and you just have to have one!
You will have to pry this mouse of my hand if you want to take it away! It’s better than any mouse or trackball device I have ever used, and I ain’t giving it up! For a measly $24.00 on sale at Wal-Mart you can just go get your own!
