Pros: Fairly fast, well built, nice screen quality
Cons: Limited to 800x600 screen resolution, not a desktop replacement
The Bottom Line: Its fast, its well built, and it is capable of being upgraded with more RAM. It really isnt fast enough to give up a desktop, but it does the job.

I got my ibook SE Graphite at 366mhz and with 64mb of RAM. Although it isnt as fast as a new 733 G4 desktop, I find that it serves my mobile computing needs. I am a high school senior and I bring it to school about once a week. It is very very well built and I have dropped it (inside my backpack) several times without any apparent damage. Its network/internet settings are easily configured, and I use location manager (a control panel) to quickly switch between my home or school network.
Speedwise, its not screaming fast. I also have an 800mhz PIII PC with windows and a 400mhz desktop G3. Both are clearly faster than the ibook. This is largely because my desktops have 192 and 256mb of RAM, respectively. The ibook, limited to 64, chokes with large graphics files or if I try to open several programs at once. The screen is also limited to 800x600 and 12+ inches, making it small or multiple window Web browsing or AIM.
