This notebook by Compaq is up to the standards of its other Presario brothers, except it has a uniqueness that sets is apart from the others. I have never used the other Presario versions but this one has a ton of options and a real sleek design. As soon as you pick up this notebook you will instantly be amazed by its light weight frame, as you open it the wide screen will open your eyes and the quick internet buttons makes life easier for anyone using the internet. As I started the computer, I didn't even notice it was 'ON' because it is so quiet that only the power light made me aware that I had started the computer. It's speakers initially looked very weak but as I inserted a CD of music, I was captivated by the brilliant surround sound. It really feels like you are surrounded by speakers.
The keyboard is very responsive and comfortable to type on despite its small size. The mouse is also very responsive and one will easily get used to it, though I personally still prefer a regular mouse like the one on a desktop. This computer is also very fast and only froze up when I tried to download several MP3's at once. It plays all the latest games very smoothly and with 5-6GB, you can install a ton of games. Another fascinating feature is the DVD-rom drive allowing you to watch full motion movies and is a huge comfort on long road trips.
But primarily, this notebook is designed for business with a lot of business software already installed on it. It also comes with Microsoft Office. Connecting to the internet was a breeze with it because of the instant internet button. Only one problem that seemed to concern me was that it would often heat up but most notebooks tend to do that anyway. Also the battery is very powerful since I was able to run the computer at full power for hours on just the battery.
