I am a student and was in the market for a laptop computer to help me out with my studies. I wanted a budget notebook but I did not really want to give up quality.
I went to my local office supply store to research my purchase and looked at what they had to offer. I decided on a Compaq made to order laptop. When my loans came in I went back to the store to order my laptop. They had the N3370 on display so I decided to give it a look.
This laptop was great for the price. It was $1999 marked down to $1749. It has a 14” screen. That has a beautiful display. There is a 6X DVD, 64 megs of RAM, a 550 processor, and so much more.
The battery in this charges fast and you can still use the laptop while the battery is charging but it does not seem like the battery will last all that long. I am not sure I would be able to run a full DVD movie on this just off battery. I plan on giving this a test but I just haven’t gotten around to it.
The only other comparable PC in price they had in stock at the time was a Toshiba and this one had a 2 inch smaller screen and the little “knobby” instead of the touch pad like the HP does.
I do find using the touch pad a little tricky. I am sure over time I will get used to it.
Over all this seems to be a good notebook for me. I am very new to the notebook world and find it all pretty simple to use. This is a great notebook for a beginner. If I can figure it out I am sure anyone can.
