Pros: great screen, built in camera, portability, lightweight, eye catching.
Cons: battery life, battery life, battery life
The Bottom Line: Great if you are on the road. Preferable to have a primary desktop computer and use this as secondary. Be prepared for eye strain, always look for an outlet!

| livingwpassion's Full Review: Sony VAIO C1X PC Notebook |
Well, I purchased the VAIO PCG-CIX in June of 1999. I am sure that you all know what comes in the box and other features about this product from the other reviews, so I will just be brief with my own experience.
I absolutely love this computer. But, after having it for 2 years, I would recommend having this computer as a secondary computer to a desktop computer. Currently, this computer serves as my only computer, and it can get a bit tiring to stare at a tiny screen for hours on end. Something else I don't like is the atrocious battery life. Make sure you live near several outlets wherever you go.
Also the fact that the PCG-C1X has to have every device linked up externally is a pain. I currenly have at least four devices that hook up to my PCG-C1X.
1. external mini-zip drive (pcmcia)
2. external floppy drive (provided with my VAIO) (USB)
3. Sony's CD-ROM (pcmcia)
4. DVD-ROM drive from EXP 780 (PCMCIA)
I also decided to buy a USB hub with a serial port to hook up my printer. So you can imagine what my work area looks like when I have some things hooked up.
All-in-all though, I love my little VAIO. Plus, it gets a lot of attention in public!
