A lot of machine for the money.

My Toshiba Satellite 1555CDS is just the answer for those of us who need a good basic notebook with all of the features needed to make portable computing easy. It isn't fancy, it is just a good basic machine equipped the way you need it.

The 380 Mhz AMD chip is fast enough for all business applications and internet use. The 32 megs of ram is minimal, but increasing that is relatively inexpensive. A 4.3 gig hard drive is sufficient. The built in modem, CD, and floppy drive eliminates carrying extra parts.

I did have a minor problem with the 56K modem, but Toshiba had the machine picked up from my home, repaired, and returned all in four days.

You will find this machine is an exceptional value in a notebook.
