| KeenanHauke's Full Review: Franklin Rolodex Electronics 512K Executive |
I recently bought a Franklin 512 PDA. It cannot connect to the Internet, but it only cost me $40. LAst year I bought a Sharp with much less power and it cost me $50! Plus, I do not want to surf the net using a 2 inch screen.
I organize my entire life with this tool. It has easy to use rolodex, calender and calculator functions. It fits anywhere and it is very sturdy.
I am writing this more because I don't understand why people are paying hundreds of dollars for PDAs simply because they can connect to the Internet. The Franklin I use even connects to my PC, and I can enter all of the information on the PC and download it to the Franklin. Most PDAs that connect to the Internet cost at least $200. The Franklin only cost $40. Until PDAs can handle IP better, I will not upgrade. I have the same feelings for cell phones that connect. The only useful tool would be email, and even that would be very difficult on a 1 inch screen.
The Franklin is also very easy to use for taking notes.
