I recently purchased the HP Deskjet 930C and am amazed at the quality. For an ink jet, it is fast (9 pages per minute black, 7.5 pages per minute color) and the picture quality is amazing.
My old printer was a Canon, and the great thing about the HP is that both the color and B&W cartridges stay in the printer. With the Canon and some others, you have to switch from color to B&W depending on what you are printing. The Canon also has a separate cartridge for photo quality print which you do not need with the HP.
The setup was very easy. It hooks up to either a USB or parallel port and you are up and running in a few minutes. The paper is easy to load and accommodates almost any size paper and envelopes.
I tested the printer with a picture and had to show all my friends because I was so surprised with the photo print quality. It looked like the picture was jumping off the page.
This printer is compact and does not take up too much desk space. The paper comes out onto a tray, unlike some printers, so there is no chance of your pages getting damaged.
The cartridges for this printer are about the same price as for other printers and you can always find a good deal on the HP Deskjet 930C. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone who needs one.
