| Zoner's Full Review: Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart p1100xi InkJet Printer |
The hp photo printer is really a come on and not that necessary for most users, this is because the only major difference between the photo printers and the HP 900 series printers is that is has 2 slots on the side of the printer for memory transfers. These transfer stations are for your digital camera memory cards which allow you to print directly from the card instead of going through your computer. This feature cost the consumer a bit of extra pocket change, and it's not worth it and probably won't be to most people. Other than this little fact the printing quality is the same as the HP 900 series.
The Hp photo smart and 900 series both use a new technology called photo-ret III which is one of best improvements I have seen for ink jet printers in over 5 years. The photo ret III more the doubles the color print quality of it's predecessor photo-ret II and it also blows away the competition. Until this technology was released Epson had the belt for the highest resolution available but now after several years they have lost there position. This is truly a revolution in ink jet printer technology.
