| Grindinghalt's Full Review: Lexmark Jet Z11 InkJet Printer |
I use my Lexmark Z11 printer at home, mostly for school reports and generic internet printing. I bought the printer a little over a year ago at a Target for around fifty dollars. It's far from the best quality printer, but as stated in my "cons" section, you get what you pay for.
Reliability
It's been printing, jamless for well over a year now. Not once have I had to spend time prying paper out off it's death-grip. I've used it to print CD labels, school reports and internet pages. I'd say it's pretty impressive for a fifty dollar printer to not devour any paper within an entire year.
Speed
It's stats say that it prints out four pages a minute. I can swear to you that it prints out much faster than that. It might print out 4 pages a minute with the most intricate color taking up the entire page. It takes nore more than a few seconds to print out one full page of black and white text.
Quality
Lets just say it falls a bit short of picture quality. This printer was meant more for printing black and white text than for printing beautiful color photos. If your intentions are to print out pictures of colorful scenery, you'd probably want to get a different (more expensive) printer.
Additional Features
It's relatively small and fits well into any computer setup. It also comes with a plastic cartridge that fits onto the back so that when you switch ink cartridges you can clip the one that isn't in use and it won't dry. (In other words, it only holds either your black ink or color ink.) Even though it can only contain one cartridge, the other one won't go bad.
I would suggest this printer for someone who is in college or someone who just doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a printer. You get what you pay for. It's not of the best quality, but it's definitely worth the fifty dollars that I paid for it.
