This review is actually on the 9300i CD writer plus, but the 9200i is the closest product I could review. The 9300 has a 10x write speed, a 4x rewrite speed, and a 32x read speed. This is super fast. I was going to purchase the 9200i, but then when the 9300 came out I knew it would be better (and I got it for only $20 more).
I have used the CD writer to record many music cds, to store files that there is not room for on my harddrive, to make backup copies of games, and also, using the simple backup software, I made a backup of the entire 17GB harddrive in less than an hour. I have been very impressed with the performance, speed, and ease of use of the 9300.
The 9300 series comes with some very simple software, taking you through how to make cds step by step and formatting the disks automatically. The software even tells you what type of disks would be best for what you are doing. It is so easy to use that even my computer illiterate dad was able to figure it out quickly and had no problems with it. The 9300 also comes equipped with cd labeling software and supplies, which is both fun and easy to use and gives your cds a personal look.
I have so far been very impressed with the 9300 and all the great features it has. I highly recommend it.
