I bought my altec 305's though my computer company Cyber Power from Cal. I purchased these as an upgrade from the standards as Cyber Power gave me a list of 5 different speaker upgrades . I chose the 305's which were one notch below the most expensive speakers offered however I was not interested in a four to five speaker systems and the additional clutter so I chose the two speaker and one woofer 305. My computer is in a large room but the altec 305 has no problem filling it with sound , the bass sounds good up to about 75 percent volume which is more than enough for me . I do agree with some of the other opinions though in regard to a lack of head phone jack on the speakers this I feel is a major oversight and one in which if I had known before I purchased I may have reconsidered my purchase . So overall this is a mixed review I like these speakers they look to made of quality materials but if you think you would use headphones look elsewhere.
