| lurr's Full Review: Canon PowerShot S45 Digital Camera |
I have owned this unit for more than 3 months and have shot more than one thousand pictures with it. It satisfied me so much that I have almost no complaint on this unit. Its small size can just fit to my pocket so that I can carry it to wherever I go. Its auto mode is already very good with the new-introduced 9-point focus system. But I especially like its custome adjusteable shutter speed and aperture, which give you a big free space to creative nice shot with a not-so-professional camera. Also you can directly connect the camera to the pc via USB without installing any driver or software if your PC runs WinXP.
Just recommend you to buy at least another one battery and at least 256MB compact flash card for this S45. My experience on the battery is that it can shot about 120 pictures for one fully-charged battery with the LCD on and occasional flash. I usually set the picture format to SuperFine Large, which gives the 2272*1704 resolution per image with the size about 2MB. Therefore, if you have two batteries and one 512MB CF card(as I do), you can shot about 250 pictures for a trip with no problem. :)
