Pros: Saved me several times, seems to be accurate
Cons: Cheaply made, had it less than a year and almost useless now
The Bottom Line: If you want a cheap detector that detects most radars then go ahead and get it. It may not last you long. I was extremely unhappy with mine.

| wushufanatic's Full Review: Cobra Electronics ESD 6700 Radar Detector |
When I first received my Cobra, I was pretty happy. Easy to setup and I was excited when it caught a radar gun before I even saw the cop sitting down the road. It does pick up a lot of false alarms but I assume its the same way as other radar detectors. The thing starts up every time you turn it on with a voice saying some stuff like "system ready, voice alert." Cool at first but extremely annoying now.
The worst thing about it (and reason I won't get another one) is that it is very very cheaply made. After only about 1-2 months, the detector voice and sounds started to go out and also the suction cups broke when I took it off my windshield. Now, it picks up signals and displays them but I get absolutely no sound so its pretty much useless. I've taken it apart and looked at it and the wire for the power supply is held in place by what seems to be a cheap piece of metal and plastic which has bent somewhat so the power supply now does not fit in correctly. I tried to fix it to no avail so it is not even the whole problem.
