Pros: Doesn't skip, good ergonomics (easy to use), and nice sound
Cons: Stops working after a year...
The Bottom Line: I'd stay away from Aiwa, and this model in particular if you want a player that will last for more than a year.

| mikehu's Full Review: Aiwa XP-V716 Personal CD Player |
About a year ago, my girlfriend bought this portable cd player first, and I was impressed enough to buy one also a couple weeks later. The sound was good, and it was nearly impossible to make this thing skip. The battery life is also excellent.
Unfortunately, time has passed and BOTH of our cd players are having exactly the same problems: the unit doesn't work on batteries any more, and won't play all the way through a cd anymore (it's like it's on random play all the time). I think there is a flaw in the design since both cd players are having the same problems. What's most frustrating is that I've used my player very lightly--maybe a 20 times or so, and it's still having problems.
