I bought this CD Player because it was cool, and at the time was $100. I had $100 and was looking for a GOOD CD Player since I had bought a cheap one that failed on me. Plus I was looking for a player that would support CD-RWs and CD-Rs since I frequently burn CDs.
What happened his when I got it I ripped it open, started listening to it and it sounded above average, good, crisp sound. It worked very good with all types of CDs. I had it for about 6 months. About 2 months after I got it, it started to fail. At first, it was no big deal, I would be listening to a CD-R and it would freeze, you reset it and it worked, only happened once or twice a day. I still liked it. Then about a month later, it got worse, now for some reason the anti-skip won't work at all, period. So I am getting angry, but since I dont do a lot of shaking around while listening to it and use th remote a lot, I thought, "oh well, I'd never use it anyway." Then throughout the final months it just got worse and worse, I looked on the website went to the store, did everything I could to try and fix it...
But no, it started with the CD-Rs not being able to play, then later it was CD-RWs, then about 2 weeks after that, it wouldn't play any CDs at all unless you reset it all the time and had it perfectly clean.
But it still got worse and would not play anything. It would spin the CD but then say Error in 10 seconds.
I just threw it away about 2 days ago. The only good thing that came from that was the car kit that I still have.
I LIKED the fact it could play all CDs and it had good skip protection and a remote. Plus it looked cool.
But it didn't matter what I use to like about it when it broke on me, I hated that it did that. I would still love it today and Highly recommend it if it were still working.
If you want to waste money, time and effort on a crappy brand with very bad support, go ahead and get it.
But if you are like every other human, stay away from this, do not get it.
I would recommend a SONY CD PLAYER WITH G-PROTECTION ANTI-SKIP, you may think it is your everyday anti-skip, but it does not use memory or waste battery life, it has a sort of shock system that really does work VERY well. Plus every single Sony product I have ever bought has worked excellently, always worked and had support behind it.
I am replacing that CD Player with a Rio 600 MP3 player because I get to choose the music I want, there is no skipping, sounds better, don't have to buy CDs and I don't have to wait 15-30 minutes for a CD to burn.
