It's a 'nice' unit. I got one which was refurbished. Decent size, decent sound. Not a very sturdy unit but lots of add ons for the price. Some of the key points of the unit were;
1. Remote control. Very handy as you don't have to physically change tracks or volume on the unit itself. Similar in design to the Panasonic remotes. It has an advantage over Sony in that there is no requirement for the bulky 'microchip' insert near the headphone jack to use the remote. As an added 'bonus', if you do not the like the headphones that come with the unit, just plug in the ones that you enjoy, as the remote uses a standardized input;
2. Rechargeable batteries. The unit comes equipped with a charger built in the unit for recharging the batteries which also come with the unit. Mind you the batteries are low capacity but they are included;
3. Size of the unit. The unit is lightweight and of decent compact size. Does not compare favorably against the Panasonic 510 but is similar to the Sony units of similar price range;
4. Sound. Decent sound. Kind of breaks up at higher volumes but that may be a function of the bass.
Some of the negative aspects of the unit include;
1. Fragility. The unit is not sturdy for active use. The unit is very lightweight and tends to break easily;
2. Headphones. I know, I know ... you can change them but ... I wish they improved the quality of the ones included with the set;
All in all. I decent unit with nice accessories (remote control, rechargeable batteries), that most people would be happy with in my humble opinion.
