Pros: MDLP, Excellent Battery life, improved liquid crystal LCD, several cool add-ons from prior models.
Cons: a bit pricey and difficult to find in US at this time.
The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, the mz-r909 is a great investment for digital music listening. Peace~

I had my MZ-R90 for a while now, and with that, I had no problems. I enjoyed the long batter life, portability, cool design, and excellent sound quality that sony offers.
Then I found out about the MZ-R909 which a friend got for me from Japan. let me tell you.. this player rocks!
Improved battery life, a LCD screen that is sweeter than any other previous model, better skip protection, MDLP which is a cool function that allows you to record longer mds, and more.
The design of this model is sweet and definitely "in" for this era of Digital Music Walkmans.
You'll have people looking at your player green with envy. I say, get yours today while they're still hot.. but then, if you can't afford it at this moment, go for one of the earlier models. They all deliver Sony quality for outstanding Mini Disc Players.
