Broke after 2 weeks

Pros: Cool graphical interface.
Over 10 hours on 1 charge of the lithium battery
Cons: Clic disks are a hassle to switch in/out. Unit is heavy and bulky.
The Bottom Line: Great idea, but if you just want a light reliable MP3 player with lots of memory capacity, this one is definitely not for you.

I bought the Rave:MP 2300 on sale for $99 (after rebate) at buy.com. I was attracted by the fact that it had 2 60MB Clik! disks and a rechargeable lithium ion battery.
The unit itself is in my opinion very attractive and fun to operate. It is very streamlined and the backlit screen is fun to look at as you're operating the player.
However, within a couple of days the weight and size of this player started to bother me. If you want to carry your MP3 player around, this is definitely the wrong one for you. Think about a light, sports MP3 player like the Nike ones by Rio.
I also noticed that the 60MB limit on the disks was a huge bummer. I could only save about 5-9 songs on a disk, and had to swap it out to play different songs. The swapping in and out of disks is tiring and stressful, as you're never quite sure if you've broken something when inserting the disk. It makes a scratchy sound. If you like music and want to hear more than a few songs, please please get at least 128MB of internal memory, that way you don't have to deal with disk swapping or a small number of songs.
Finally, the last straw. After 2 weeks of operation, something on the inside of my player got stuck and now I can't read disks more than 1/3 of the way through them. The player makes this repeated clicking sound like it's stuck on something. I am so disappointed with this player that I don't even want to deal with getting a refund. I'm just going to throw it away.
Please don't make the same mistake I did. Please don't buy the Rave:MP 2300.
