Buying something as simple as a portable CD player is a big decision for me. I did my research and ended up buying the "Sony Discman ESP2 Digital Mega Bass Portable CD Player". I am thrilled with it!
This CD player performs as well as the ones that cost $80 and up. The headphones it comes with are not great but they worked for me. I like the shape of them, they "grip" to you head and you won't have to worry about them falling off. At first I couldn't understand why it didn't have a pause button, then I figured out that pressing stop then pressing play again will start the CD the exact place you stopped. This CD player has an anti-skipping feature, I've never had it skip on me. The mega bass feature is wonderful. The sound is extremely clear. Another feature I love is you can put a song on repeat or random.
It may be basic but it's well made (I've dropped it a few times and it came out just fine). You're not paying for a whole bunch of useless features which is very nice. Overall, this is an inexpensive, easy to use, great sounding little discman. I highly recommend it.
