I got this stereo for christmas and put it in my bedroom. I was surprised when i saw this. Most of the panasonic stereos i had looked at looked really horrid and had huge speakers which i did not want. This is the total opposite to what i thought a panasonic stereo would look like, it's very sleek, it's silver and has a blue backlight. It comes with a remote control which was another bonus. I found it was pretty easy to set up, just plug in the speakers, power cable and the antennas and it's ready to go!
When i put it on it said "hello" which i really like, a stereo that's polite! next i put in a cd: 'paula cole - this fire' it sounded so much better than in the portable thing i had been using! it has a sound virtuliser that i keep on all the time! it makes the sound more rounded rather than flat normal sound.the cd player has repeat 1, all and a random setting. you can also program the cd player using the remote control. i like the fact that you can type the numbers in rather than than using the up and down keys.
The radio is also as good as the cd player. it sounds great and the antenna is fine. if you want to use the remote control to change the station you have to program in the station in the stereo but it's very easy.
The c.d has a clock which goes on when it is in standby mode. You can use it to program the stereo to go on in the morning. The stereo starts of quiet and gets louder and louder until you stop it so it makes a great alarm.
It has sockets at the back to plug in extra components such as a tape recorder and a minidisc recorder. It has an optical fiber port for digital minidisc recording.
The feature i like most about this stereo is that it has a sleep timer and i like to go to sleep listening to music. The only thing that i don't like about this stereo is that you cannot completely turn off the backlight so when i go to sleep there is a blue glow.
Overall i love this stereo and would recommend it to anyone who wants a stereo and are on a budget
