Even though this product was brought out by Sony about a year ago, this hi-fi is the best! It comes with a selection of sound presets (eg: rock, pop, jazz, classic, game, SFX etc).
There is also a userfile sound preset sitting their for you, configure the sound yourself and save it so that you can select it without forgeting how you set it in the first place.
This hi-fi also has CD-R/CD-RW TEXT. If you make home made cd's and play them, the title of the disc will be read out, this scrolls accross the blue LCD screen. It will play CD-R/CD-RW discs without skipping or jumping.
If you tune into a radio, some radio stations display the radio station title like most car radio's do. This hi-fi does as well, it tells you what radio station you are listening to. You can also preset them so that in a touch of a button, you can switch to your favourite radio stations.
Their is also an intelligent station search function. You move left and right to choose the genre of radio station you would like to listen to(eg: pop, rock, jazz, news, weather etc). It will come up with a selection of radio stations from your search.
You can connect your Mini Disc player to the hi-fi using a Digital Optic plug (not included). This will allow you to connect an MD player digital to record music from CD's. This hi-fi digitally works with your MD, it recongnises the type of recording selected on your MD player.
This hi-fi has a rotating disc tray allowing you to insert three disc's in for random music playback. Program three discs to switch and to play tracks in order. You can also open the disc tray to swap the two discs that are not currently playing, the disc that is playing is sucked up by a pad which spins round. A lock feature is equiped if you need to take your hi-fi someone and you do not want the discs to move about and fall out of place, the discs are locked into the disc tray (always read the manual for these features).
Sleep mode is also equiped and lots of other small but important features are included. You can select the surround feature (which is excellent!), or the GROOVE feature (THE BASS IS VERY LOUD WITH THIS FEATURE ON, I MEAN IT!). Get this hi-fi, it wont let you down at all...
