Cons: Quit working 30 months

The Bottom Line: Is there another model or manufacturer that is comparable? Check the warranty period - you may very well need repairs. An out of date model.

When it was working it seemed to work well. Within 30 months however, it stopped working. Apparently, it would not calibrate itself, even after resetting. Had received no abuse or harsh treatment so I called Bel's 1-800 number to see if they had any suggestions.

The service rep simply and quickly identified the problem, even without the error code - it was broken! Bel wanted $85 to repair it, or offered $40 if traded in. Seemed a little expensive to me, but what choices did I have? Detectors are expensive little critters in the first place and would another model or manufacturer really help?

Bel website offers no info or manuals on any of their older products, such as this.
