| wideiris's Full Review: Panasonic KX TC1870 900 MHz - Cordless Phone |
... keeps on ticking. I was concerned about this purchase because I've had enough cordless phones to know that they will eventually get dropped... a lot! It wasn't panasonic's quality of construction that worried me, but the call display that is on the handset. One good drop and you've lost it. But that doesn't seem to be the case. This phone has taken some abuse, and survived to tell about it. Panasonic phones have always been fantastic, and so the quality was never in question. If you're going to spend at least $90 on a phone of dubious quality, go all out and get this one. It will last, it has every gadget on the planet, and 900Mhz is all you'll ever need, unless you live on a farm. The new 2.4 Giga-hertz are, in my opinion, bordering on cell phone distances that most people don't need, OR need to pay for.
This is a great phone. It's lightweight, durable, aesthetic, and multi-functional. The only drawback I have is with ease of use. There are quite a few buttons on the phone, and after 4 months, I still can't remember which is which all the time. The answering machine is a necessity (no more paying the phone company!), and the speaker-phone is great when you don't want to carry the phone around with you, as those on the other end can hear you with clarity.
buy this phone - it's like an investment: no more paying the phone company for their answering service, and you won't have to purchase a new phone for a long long time.
