These binos are good for getting up close and personal with intended objects. The IS works reasonably well and the image is clear. The ability to see across the water for miles the great detail and the view of the moon is nothing less than spectacular. Feel of the binos when in hand is also very nice. They are clearly a high end binocular and leave a lasting impression on anyone who uses them.
Now the not so good. Size and weight matters here. The bino's are too big for more practical use such as taking with you to a game or for a family outing. You need to make special arrangements for including these guys as they are big and weigh quite a bit. Too much of a good thing is sometimes not so good...let me explain. The field of view on these is a bit too small and I found that finding objects in the sky such as airplanes, birds, while on the move was very difficult.
Would I recommend them.... yes with reservations listed above and as a footnote I would recommend checking the 10x30 is's first. They are lighter and more user friendly in the field and much cheaper. Of course they are not 15x which makes a bit of difference when pulling in the close objects but after using the 10x30's for a lengthy period of time you do get used to the difference in power vs. the lessened weight.
