paulnakroshis's Full Review: Canon IS (15x50) Binocular
I bought these binoculars for daytime and astronomical night viewing. I just spent an hour using them at lunch and am extremely impressed with their optical quality. I find that I can handhold them relatively well, and with the stabilization on, the image is rock steady. I also like the ability to put filters (58 mm) on the objectives. I live on the coast, so it's nice to throw on a pair of polarized filters to remove glare. Although I don't know if I'll use it, it is nice that a tripod socket is provided. I am extremely impressed with these bino's and can hardly wait to scan the night skies with them.
My only complaint is that the eyecups are a little too tall. I find that even though I do not wear glasses, I roll down the eyecups to get a more complete field of view. I consider this a minor complaint!
