Pros: Great pictures at an affordable price.
Cons: Clips at seal points can rust, sand can get under the rubber coating.
The Bottom Line: Great camera for those like me who dive when they can, which is never enough.

| gliner's Full Review: SeaLife Reefmaster RC SL515 35mm Film Camera |
I bought one of these cameras through the military exchange service just before I retired from the USAF. I like it's ease of operation. Changing film is easy, the seal works extremely well and the pictures I have taken have turned out to be very clear. I am hardly a great photographer, and trying to capture that "perfect" picture when you are unable to keep perfectly still is very hard indeed. There are better underwater cameras out there, but for the money (under $200) I think this is the best of the bunch. I would highly recommend this camera for the ocassional diver such as myself, I have used it at Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Key Largo, and Belize. Since you have to turn the camera on before you insert it into the housing and it stays on the whole time, I recommend changing batteries between dives to ensure that you have plenty of power. That is the only thing that I would consider a detriment to an otherwise outstanding camera. The camera is bouyant, it has a wrist strap. You can take it as deep as 166 feet. Too deep for the recreational diver! It uses regular 35 mm film. 200 speed is recommended so it is not expensive. Developing the pictures is best done at a professional place since pictures should be adjusted for blue and red colors. Your average developers just run the film through a machine and let it do the work, your pictures will not look as good that way. Overall a great camera that is easy and inexpensive to use. (UPDATE) I have since replaced this camera with a Nikon 4300 digital camera and a Fantasea Underwater Housing. I still use the Reefmaster, but I will eventually go digital all the time due to the lack of film limitations.
