| photobear's Full Review: SeaLife Reefmaster RC SL515 35mm Film Camera |
I bought this after reading a few good reviews on this camera. Sure $200 is a lot, but I wanted something to stick around for awhile and get away from the poor quality of disposable underwater cameras. It was very attractive, rugged housing, and came with a rugged pelican case. Plus the coral flash was an extra perk. I was also happy I could use the camera on land as well. Well come to find out, its a chincy camera that I could get for $10 at Walmart. But yet, I took it on some dives to try it out before giving up. My pictures were very poor. On land they were very grainy and had poor coloring. And of course the flash can't be used on land unless you want everything to be yellow. I have had better pictures come from the disposables. Also the macro lens kept falling off in the water. Not something I want to constantly fiddle with when I only have a few seconds if that to spare while snapping a photo of sea creatures. That thing went right back to the store. Overall, fine if you are totally amateur, but then why would you spend $200 on a camera if you were.
