Pros: Everything about it!!!!
Cons: The only con I could think of would be having to use the tripod for the extreme zoom.

I purchased this camera in August of 2000. I had seen a gentleman use it at a Winterguard show in May of 2000. We were sitting on one side of a school gym on the top row of the bleachers and he was able to zoom in on his daughter who was sitting across the gym on the top row of the other side of bleachers. The zoom was incredible. It was like she was sitting right in front of us. However, to use the zoom this way, you really need to use the tripod.
I also used this camera to film my daughter during marching season (football season). I was able to get some great footage of her on the football field from the stands. Not only was I able to get close-ups but was also able to film the entire band spread out across the football field.
I recently used this camera on our Christmas vacation. We traveled over 2700 miles. In traveling through Colorado, I was able to get some beautiful scenary not only on video, but also with the digital camera. It even took great video driving and filming the scenary, not to mention the couple of blizzards we drove through. I even took the camera snowmobiling. It is so lightweight that I sometimes forgot I had it with me. It was great being able to take some of those backwoods pictures.
It is also very easy to use for downloading your digital pictures. I have not only sent our vacation pictures to family and friends, but have also used it for putting pictures on E-bay. I think this is a great camera and would highly recommend it.
