| toddster's Full Review: AKG K 270S Professional Headphones |
Do not, for any reason, buy these headphones. Not even for a fraction of their outrageous published price.
I'm a professional musician, and these things are about as bad as you can imagine. They sound like you are listening through a cheap telephone ear piece.
I had to turn up my amplifier volume, then my bass and treble EQ's, and they still sounded like trash. A little more volume caused them to distort and crackle.
They come with a mini-plug and an adaptor to turn it into 1/4" plug. This is really cheap.
I returned them in a heartbeat.
Moreso, the AKG website states they have a frequency response of 20 - 28,000 htz, but the paper specs in the box state it as 20 - 20,000 htz. Big difference. I still do not know which is the truth.
People who claim these headphones are good, or even decent, do NOT know what they are talking about, or have NO frame of reference for sound.
IF you gave them to me, I would throw them away.
