| J.I.M.'s Full Review: Sennheiser HDR 65 Consumer Wireless Headphones |
Upon receiving my 900MHz RS-6, I was highly disappointed. Wanting to upgrade from the poor receiver performance of a pair of $70 Jensens I was hoping that spending the extra $$ would get me a pair of wireless headphones with great reception. After reading some glowing reviews on epinions.com and headroom, I decided on buying the RS-6. Unfortunately, the performance of the wireless transceiver is very poor! I think that the marked difference in opinion between my experience that that of the headroom staff is possibly because they had a pair of RS-6's that run at 400MHz rather than 900MHz. 400MHz transceivers would definitely have better success at penetrating walls and delivering a good RF signal. My 900MHz RS-6's begin getting poor reception even from 15 feet away when you go behind a wall.
THATS REALLY BAD FOR AM FM RECEIVER RATED TO DELIVER UP TO 300 FT!
I am planning on returning my RS-6's immediately and am searching for a pair of 400MHz models or holding out till someone comes out with a decent wireless transceiver.
