I am in the market for a portable CD player. I looked at portable CD players $100 or less. I looked at Sony, Philips, Aiwa, Kenwood and Panasonic brands. I am impressed with the JVC XL-PG4 player. It comes with an AC adapter(helps save on batteries!), headphones, shock protection, auto power off and a nice design for $100. I am planning to purchase a CD player in the next month and am seriously considering buying this one because it has all the features I want at a reasonable price. JVC is a trusted name in electronics which I find to be yet another plus in considering my impending purchase.
