My ears hurt!

I plan on returning the Panasonic Shockwave because I simply cannot stand the earphones any longer. They have a "wrap-around" design, with "pins" that stick into your ears. The pins kill! It feels like some kind of Chinese torture. Now you might say "well, just get new earphones!" The problem is that the remote control is embedded into the earphones. So if you lose the earphones, you lose the remote control... and since I walk with the unit buried in my bag, I need a remote. (The embedded remote is a hassle to use--since you can't see it, you have to explore with your hands to find the desired functionality.)

But... if you can take the painful earphones, or are willing to replace them (and lose the remote) you'll love this unit. It's tough as nails--can't make this thing skip, believe me I tried. And the sound is great--better than any other unit I've owned.
