| kzdad's Full Review: Kodak Cameo Motor 110 Camera 35mm Film Camera |
When my daughter was born, we didn't have a camera, so we headed out to get one. Neither of us had much thought about what kind we wanted or any knowledge at all about cameras, so I just grabbed a trusted brand camera and this is what I ended up getting. Nonetheless, I was very happy with my purchase.
The 110 camera was used for 3 years straight and I took a TON of pictures. I have tons of albums full of pictures I got from the camera and everyone of them were just as great as the next. I've heard some people say 35mm's are the best, well, I had better luck with the 110 than I do with the 35mm's.
Why?
The 110 camera, you just lay the cartridge in and that's it. 35mm's have to be loaded just right and if it's not right, then your entire set of pics are ruined. I know...been there done that and hated it. The 110 camera was a lot smaller and fit easily inside my shirt pocket or pants pocket, but the 35mm's had to just be held or hung from the cord. I don't carry purses or this wouldn't have matter, I would have just dropped it in there.
Using 110 film does have a few disadvantages, such as you can't get them developed on a floppy disk and it was easier to get messed up because it didn't have a case to drop it in. BUT, the solution I came up with worked great for handling the finished cartridge.
If you are a beginner camera user, this would be the one to start with. I've seen young kids use them and have been thinking about getting mine one as she loves to take pictures. This would be something great to start off with for anyone.
