a great buy for SLR starters

Pros: great in auto mode, detailed manual control also

Cons: no depth of field preview .. view finder matrix could have been more detailed

The Bottom Line: A must buy if new to SLR domain.

I started entering the SLR world with my Nikon N60. It is an awesome camera I must say. If you are a beginner in the SLR domain then u need a camera like this .. which in the initial phase let's u rely on it's automatic or semi - automatic modes and then u can venture into the manual domain. Great picture quality with Nikkor lens. I will hang on to it till I can afford an F-5 . The flash works excellent and I have taken really great night pictures.. very good and accurate aperture control and shutter speed control. versatile camera as all nikkor lens can be used.. the only problem i faced was while trying to focus on a subject at the side of the scene and trying to shoot the subject with the back ground out of focus. That is possible but mastering the art is a slight problem. that feature could have been made easier. That's why if the view finder matrix was more detailed like the N 65 then that would have been also possible.
