| timg's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P2000 Car CD Player |
First off, this head unit has a lot of power. 22 watts RMS through 4 channels. This could power most any biaxial speaker setup you can throw at it, plus some. It also has two pre-amp outputs. The unit has many little features you wouldn't expect for a sub-$200 price, including disc titling, custom equalization, CD changer controls, and an auxiliary input. It also has some fancy Pioneer-only features, such as the Front Image Enhancement, which pipes the bass to the back speakers, improving imaging. The display is single-color, and rather hard to read in bright sunlight. The controls are very well-organized and extremely easy to use. I have never heard the player skip. Other than the fairly bland display, I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in starting an upgradable car audio system.
