Pros: NONE
Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST
The Bottom Line: Look for something where the buttons won't wear down. This was a major design flaw for Pioneer.

Reasons:
1. The rubber shell they put over the volume buttons will wear down to nothing. Underneath that are 2 little 'buttons' that will break too.
2. I've had my DEH-P6000 CD player for 3+ years now and it finally died today! 10/21/02. What happened was, when I opened the unit to eject the disk, the unit would lose power. So, I had to open it only a little to reach the eject button to eject the disk. Then, the button malfunctioned! So, now I can only listen to the CD I left in there.
3. The unit was placed right under my main front heating vents. So I guess a good thing about it is that it has an OverHeat sensing mechanism that won't let it play after it reaches a certain temp. In my case, having the heat on for more than 10 minutes.
A friend purchased a similar model that was cheaper and didn't have any problems. Furthermore, the so called 'anti-glare' face was only a myth. Couldn't see it in the day at all let alone direct sunlight.
I paid a fair amount for this unit and am not impressed at all! I think Pioneer should replace my stereo with something that won't fall apart.
