| clhodge's Full Review: Paradigm MONITOR 3 Speaker |
This is my second pair of Paradigms and I'm really enjoying them. For me, an audio upgrade is when you can play material you're very familiar with, and hear something new. That's what I got with these Paradigms. I moved up from the mini monitors. If you want loud, and think in terms of maximum watts (speakers and amps) these may not be right for you. If you've ever measured the length of your speaker cable to see if they match, write down this model number. My listening room is not theatre sized and speaker positioning is important in this room, but once you get them in the right spot, wow. I've got a subwoofer but I've tuned the crossover way down. I listen to everything and these speakers perform great all around. I loved Studio Monitors and Reference Monitors, but couldn't pull the trigger on $1000 for the minor improvement. The B&Ws performed well too but again,$$$$ Perhaps when the kids are older and I can have more listening time, Monitor 60s. Until then...where's that new Steely Dan DVD?
