Pros: Supports DTS, fantastic picture, hooks up nice to current home theater system
Cons: Very Expensive, not as far superior to cheaper ones as you might think.
The Bottom Line: I can't reccomend it because of price, but it is nice.

| Joseph_J's Full Review: Pioneer DV-09 DVD Player |
1. Picture Quality.. 9.5/10
The picture quality is what you have come to expect from DVDs. It maybe even surpasses that standard, but it also costs literally 5-10x more than average players, so it better.
2. Sound.. 9/10
When hooked up to a quality Pioneer stereo system the sound is simply unbelievable, it literally needs to be heard to be believed, but $1,800 worth of sound? I think not.
3. Price.. 5/10
OUCH now we know why it is so good quality it will run you up to about $2000 that can be quite expensive. In fact, as mentioned above, it can be like 5-10x more expensive than other ones... and that is it's downfall in my eyes.
4. Design.. 7/10
It's rather bulky, not sleekly designed like others I've seen, but it is made to fit nicely into an existing entertainment center, so it can be understood, but not forgiven.
BOTTOM LINE..
If you're a movie enthusiast and demand top quality in all you view... and you're rich then this could be a good fit for you, otherwise stay away.
