I find this product to be a very good find but the price is alittle high. I am not saying that its not worth it because by all means Sony has stood up to its reputation. Personally I have tested the player and I liked it and I would have bought it but I already have the Sony Playstation (PS2) which plays dvds all ready. Being that DVD's are very quickly becoming America's first choice when stuck between DVD or VHS and giving that Sony does superb work in all there products you won't be disapointed. I urge you to get on this but shop around for the best price or your wallet will get burned. The output is great for this, I mean I have had players that the sound wasn't that great but this one is good, trust me. I recommend it but you might want to also look into other Sony products to enhance this player such as surround sound systems
