manjo's Full Review: Bose Lifestyle 30 Theater System
I did do a lot of research before I bought my lifestyle 30. When I bought mine, bose was shipping an onkyo DVD player along with it for only $99. I have read opinions that bose is lousy system and the marketing is excellent. Few realize the convinence, the speakers are small, the central unit is sleek, it can fit in an appartment or house. And gives excellent quality sound, IF speakers are properly placed and the room acoustics are favourable.
What I understood is that many people who buy home theater systems, either dont have the speakers correctly placed or the acoustics inside their home is very bad. I would suggest that you get advice on where to place your speakers, and get the room acoustics correct. Get help from the guys at the bose showroom, they gave me good pointers.
If you have $3500 to burn and you dont want to sacrifice space and looks of the room, but still want to have good quality sound and effects, bose lifestlye series is the way to go. I have my speakers completely hidden, also less stuff to dust and clean!! My old tower speakers were a like a dust magnet!
what I really miss....
The is no volume level indicator. You wont know how loud it is until your neighbour comes knocking "hey turn it down .... please"
Doesint have any manual over ride, it has only a base and treble control.
