Considering the fact that I have a very fast connection to the internet after a few months I had a huge collection of MP3 files that I wanted to play not only in my computer. I considered some portable mp3 players but, after some considerations I found that the best mp3 player is a minidisc.
Why? easy answer, the minidisc is as small as an mp3 player (in some cases smaller) but you are not limited to 64 MB of RAM, you can record 74 mins of CD quality music, and the mindiscs are very small so you can carry 4 or 5 without any problem...
After 2 or 3 days of looking at hundreds of portable minidisc recorder / player I decided for the 722, starting for the great design, great portability, the fact that the batteries are rechargable and lasts for 8 hours. (AC adapter included) - If you run out of batteries you can put a small adapter and use just one conventional battery adding 2 or 3 more hours of music. The remote control is very convenient and useful, also the jog dial lets you put names to the songs in a very easy way.
The only drawback of the minidisc are the low-quality headphones it came with. If you want to truly hear the quality of this minidisc I recommend you buy another pair.
The recording capabilities of the 722 are incredible, it syncs with the music coming in from the digital or analog line, the player divides the recording into separate tracks itself so you can put on a playlist and let the player record alone all the music you want, without worrying about when to press RECORD and when to STOP it.
