An excellent inexpensive MD walkman

The MZ-EP11 is an excellent entry level MD walkman with great sound and a nice form factor.

I owned an MZ-EP11 for about a year, using it about two hours daily for outdoor walks in conditions ranging from -10F to 95F. It's small and convenient to carry, but the battery life is somewhat short - I recommend using rechargeable NIMH batteries from Radio Shack and carrying two of them.

After about a year, the EP11 died. Despite the fact that it was used very, very hard I had expected better. Reliability may be an issue.

The slot-in disc loading mechanism is great.
